Lowball Watch - $8.9 Million Offer, $11.4 Million Verdict

          The Olympian (Tacoma Business Displaced by Rail Line Gets $2.6M,”  November 8, 2009), reports that after the Sound Transit offered Star Ice and Fuel company of Tacoma, Washington, $8.9 million for its ice plant, the case went to trial and a jury awarded an additional $2.5 million.
